Arne,
I'm either the dumbest S.O.B. around or the order pre-order "Q" is useless for tracking or I simply don't understand it. Quite simply I just want to buy a Boberg. Following is my quandry:
On 12/14/11 the published "Q" listed started at an order "Q" of 1/22/11 and I was # 276 listed at 9/19/211.
Today on 2/6/2012 the published…

My son dipped his IPOD briefly due to the unexpected report from the Cor-Bon +P ammo.

Now that we have a clearer picture of the time and materials cost involved in producing a semi-custom pistol of the highest quality, we have decided to increase our price on all current orders to $995.
It has always been our goal to bring you the finest 9mm+P pocket pistol in the world at a price point below $1,000 and we are pleased to continue to fulfill this goal!
Thank you to all our early customers that supported us when we first launched the "Shorty"! All…

The part of the pre-order queue that is no longer published is the part where orders have been already processed. This saves us time in people calling and emailing us about making sure their orders are in exactly the right order of inquiry timestamp, which, so far, I feel we have been successful in maintaining. For those whose orders are in process, we are communicating directly with them.

In batches #2 and #3 there is a possibility that your firing pin safety spring is too strong and may prevent the slide from going into battery or the hammer from dropping. That is because the extra-strong Tong spring may be in there by mistake. We are going to send out a spring kit with hex key (and instructions) so that you can drop the correct spring under the rear sight. I apologize for any inconvenience. If anyone prefers, you can remove the slide assembly and send it back to us and…

I live in MA and I'd like to buy a Boberg, and I realize all of the steps that have to be taken for a firearm to be approved and certified here, but I don't see any reason conceptually why these firearms cannot be built to conform to MA specs.
The Kahr PM9 has recently been approved for sale here and by all indications people are very receptive - and the Kahr is an expensive pistol.
Does Boberg have plans to offer this gun here?

I just heard about the 9mm STI Elektra from a friend who compared it to the much smaller XR9-S pistol at the range.
Apparently, the XR9-S has better fit and finish, better accuracy, and significantly lower felt recoil. Plus a lower price tag (for as long as we can hold it!) I'm not sure about the Elektra's magazine capacity - I can't find it on their website.

This is a huge milestone for us! Packout was a lot of work, but we expect to streamline it just like every other process involved in our business. I really appreciate the patience of our paying customers who have waited up to 10 weeks since they placed their orders. The next time we hope to ship a lot sooner than that and then eventually get to day-to-day inventory so that no one has to wait. Any local customers, who had requested this option, can pick his up at Al's gun shop in White…

First wave of pre-orders have gone through. Second wave will commence in a few weeks. Due to heavy demand and limited initial quantities, we require payment in full at the time of purchase.
Also, in order to keep our comittment, we will be accepting initial orders in small quantities for at least the first two months.

The machining center can't do everything, so we break all the corners so that the plating will resist chipping along those corners. All operations follow a carefully laid out Manufacturing Operation Procedure that includes a checklist with accompanying drawing so that no procedure is missed. This process takes about 10 minutes per receiver.

This is a major milestone for us. A select group of people, who have been waiting since early 2008, have been invited to purchase the first batch of XR9-S pistols off the production line. We thank all of you for your patience and are excited to bring you our brand new pocket pistol that marks the 100th anniversary of another revolutionary pistol, the Browning 1911.
This has been a long road for us made easier by the support from so many of our fans on the Boberg Arms Forum.…

We had hoped to take pre-orders last week, but the milestones we had established were not on schedule. The two main things we want to accomplish before we start taking pre-orders is: 1) Assemble some pre-production guns using all production parts - these guns will be used in photographs shown to you so that you can see exactly what you are buying. 2) Having all fabrication times in hand so we can predict how many guns we can produce in a certain time.
The good news is that…
