""....reliability chief among them." Hope spring eternal, Boberg practitioners and fans make assumptions  that the reliability will be there and build from there a track record that's arrogant (God willing). For concealed carry…"

"true the smallest .45 auto ever is something to write home about. Although their are already at least 2 really small 9mm on the market.  PM9 and the even smaller Rohrbaugh R9 and a few others.  Your design if it proves…"

"Just like to give a +1 to a .40 S&W version.  I'm in the camp that the .40 is the perfect size/capacity/power combo available.  Right or wrong many seam to be with me on that seeing just how many people shoot/carry .40s.…"

"Outstanding news!!!   Please place me on the pre-order list.  As far as name goes, the XR9-S denotes Xtreme Reliability, 9mm, Small I vote for XR45-S   Xtreme Reliability, 45 caliber, Small As unless and until a 45ACP was…"

"If it shoots as nice as my Taurus Millennium, it will be an awesome pistol!  Not that they are close to the same size, but for a small 45, it is very mild.  It shoots better than an Officers length 1911. "

"A .45GAP pocket pistol? That would be a game-changer!  I wonder how comfy it would be to shoot though."

"Then, I believe that may be a key issue.  The heavier bullet will tend to stay put twice as much.  I'm sure you (Arne) are thinking about making a jig that can serve as a test bed for the XR mechanism with differing ammo.  Maybe…"

"Yep.  Suspect was over 300lbs, overweight and out-of-shape, armed with a .22 NAA derringer.  Trooper Mark Coates (ex-marine), muscular, probably over 200lbs, great shape, armed with body-armor and a .357 revolver with +p rounds…"

"Just wanted to add that yeah, of course shot placement counts.  Not wanting to go into the caliber debate, but since it's one of the OP's issues...  The main point is that If you shoot a 9mm better, go with that.  If you can…"

"There's of course the increase in mass as well right?  Was thinking that it was inertia that was causing all of the separations especially when pulling 2000+ g's. "

"Probably miniscule but, a larger bullet should have greater surface area creating more friction. Then again bullet weight might offset that. "

"Ahh, I stand corrected - hadn't thought of the slide acceleration as being the force driving the extraction. Good thing I don't design pistols. ;)  "

"The cartridge pressure has nothing to do with the separations, simply the mechanics of being plucked rapidly from the magazine. "

"Well, that settles it. 45 GAP it is then... thats ok, two years R&D it gives a chance for the cartridge to become more popular and hence, more economical... "
