Yes I checked the manual..."When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem begins to resemble a nail."That is a live round stuck in there. The slide will only move back .04 inches.Pushing…Continue

"Bingo.  At least a squirt of lube during extended firing when new.  Hell, even my P226 won't run dry for very long, and it is WELL broken in. "

"IIRC, the spent casings during the break in period all have a very deep indentation from the ejector mechanism. It becomes less deep with use. I think your gun got too dry/dirty. The point that your slide got stuck is close to where the barrel…"

"I couldn't wait till tomorrow and I freed it. Took the round and marked the big flaw on the brass using a sharpie. Then sanded around the brass to highlight the indentation that seemed odd. It was not a sharp indentation but almost like one…"

"It wouldn't do this without an affirmative from Arne, but it looks like it is just short of fully chambering.  My thought would be to squirt creep oil where the case shows, and one into the front of the chamber cutout in the slide to get…"

"Bret was right. It will not move forward or backwards with any hand pressure. I'll give the edge of a bench a try tomorrow after work."

"I was assuming it wasn't going fully into battery, and that he couldn't retract the slide.  If not the first, good question! "

"Also when you "give it hell" hold pressure on to the extractor or it may jump off of the rim of the case...Believe me, it really sucks when that happens... "

"I agree w/ Aron - round is chambered but slide fully returned to position. I also suspect gun is dry. I recommend removing mag and trying to rack slide loose. May need a good jerk or shooting some CLP/EEZOX under the barrel and between the barrel…"

"What have you tried tapping the slide forward with?  It is hard to tell how far out of battery it is, but it looks slight."

"I dropped some remington oil in through the mag well onto the unlocking block and a few drops elsewhere. I'll let it migrate for a while and put a little muscle into later this afternoon."

"After looking at the picture that i didnt know was attached I believe it is an ammo tolerance issue, I ran in to this early on with a box of pdx-1+p... my "bad" rounds measured 0.380" at the mouth...the "good" rounds…"

"I have ran in to this before, your gun is dry... It is not a target pistol, I recommend lubing the unlock block every 100 rounds max. Arne has some anti-sieze for this issue... just give it hell and it will release...Most likely..."

"I'd want 2 people involved one to hold pressure (opening & no hands in front of barrel) and the other one to get some small movement of the cartridge to relieve the stress or angle. A small flat blade screw driver might be the tool but, any…"
