The Boberg XR9-S "Shorty" Gives Glock G26 Performance

The XR9-S Shorty pistol duplicates the ballistics of the Glock 26 "Baby Glock" but does it in a gun the size of the smallest pocket pistols such as the Rohrbaugh R9/R9s and Ruger LCP.

At left you can see the size difference between the Boberg XR9-S Shorty in blue and the Glock 26 in red. The XR9-S Shorty grip is the same size as the G26.

  • The XR9-S Shorty is fraction of the size of the Glock 26.
  • The XR9-S Shorty delivers the same amount of stopping power as the G26 because it has the same size internal barrel and is able to shoot high-pressure ammunition just as the Glock does.

Accuracy

The Boberg XR9 series of pistols gives you incredible accuracy in such a small package.  In the hands of a practiced shooter, you can expect 15-Yard groups as good or better than the ones below.

The Boberg XR9-L "Full-Size" Outperforms The Competition
Using forty-seven styles of commonly available 9mm ammo during testing, the XR9 Full-Size produced 28% more kinetic energy than the "Brand A" pocket pistol in the chart at right, and 8% more kinetic energy than the "Full-Size D" brand pistol:
  • Pocket Pistol A is .2" shorter
  • Pocket Pistol B is identical in size
  • Sub-Compact C is .7" longer
  • Full-Size D is 2.0" longer

This increase in kinetic energy translates into deeper penetration than pistols of similar dimensions, and equivalent penetration to pistols of much longer overall length.  This is due to the Boberg XR9's patented design which integrates a full-size pistol barrel into a pocket-pistol form factor.
