Boberg Arms

Just wanted to say thanks for the cool website. The shorty is awesome.
I originally favored the full size pistol, but the shorty is really growing on me.
Will have to have both now when they are available:).

Only question I have for now is the take-down lever. It appears to have to be rotated
in a clockwise direction over the left side grip and frame. As a collector I am very concerned
that this may over time impact the finish (dragging on the grip and frame surface).
I know this is only cosmetic and will not impact functionality...But (I'm a collector).

This is an assumption on my part, of course, as I would imagine like most 1911's the take down lever
is pushed inward (other side) and then rotated. Always have to be careful of "dummy marks" though.

Thanks for your time!!!!

P.S. I know I am a fuss-pot but what can I say, the shorty is a work of art.

After I noticed the takedown lever was "rubbing off" on the black finish of the XR9-Shorty (the black hardcoat is much harder than the stainless takedown lever), I decided to add a shoulder to the takedown lever so that it no longer rubs on the surface of the frame. As a bonus, it is now smoother to turn!
