Boberg Arms

Arne and group,

I know that I am on your list to be among the first to receive the original full size XR9.

I know that your first production run is going to be the 'Shorty'.

Can you give a ballpark figure when you think you might produce the original full size model.  I would also really like to be able to order it with night sights but that would not be a show stopper.

I really want one of these guns.  I was dissapointed when I learned that you were going to produce the 'Shorty' first.

Thank You for doing a fine job of keeping your customers pretty well informed about your venture.  I for one really appreciate your willingness to share many of the details about your design and production progress.

Thank You,  Mike

The good thing about us pursuing the Shorty was that we were able to create a more durable and miniturized platform that could be expanded from there. The Gen 8 XR9-L had enough mass to cover up some durability problems that showed up when reducing the mass to make the Shorty. The Gen 9 XR9-L is a greatly improved weapon over the Gen 8 because of this. We are guessing that the "L" will follow the "S" by 6 months.
Thanks Arne!

I am really looking forward to owning and shooting your pistol. If the gun, especially the trigger is going to be as good as I hope, the XR9 will replace my Sig 239SAS as my carry piece. I remember you saying that you were impressed with the trigger of the Rohrbaugh R9. That gun had the only DAO trigger that I have ever fired that I considered useable or satisfactory. Every other DAO gun that I have ever handled had totally unsatisfactory triggers. I have sold both of my R9's btw.

Thanks for keeping all of us posted.

HAHAHA

Can't wait for the L .' )
You may have told me once before, but why did you sell your R9s?

Reliability, With the 'right' ammo it would function but the large amount of testing I had to do to find the 3 brands/types of ammo that would work 100% of the time kept gnawing at me to where I just could not trust the gun in a life of death situation. Also, the longer one carries the more comfortable that one becomes with CC. I am much more comfortable with a larger gun now than I was when I first started CC. When you first start CC you feel very conspicious, like everyone knows or can see that you are carrying. After a while you realize this is not the case and a larger gun is still comfortable to carry.

So, keep that DAO trigger as good as the Rohrbaugh and hurry up and make the original full size version(I want that extra muzzle velocity).
