Just released. Very interesting, I'd love to check this little guy out!

Reportedly low felt recoil, as it should be when the gun weighs 29 ounces.

I saw the Taurus listed at 20.8 oz. While the article on the Springfield had listed 29 ounces twice, I am still a little suspect on the weight. They may very well have a heavy steel sub-frame under the polymer.
Permalink Reply by Harry Truman on January 20, 2012 at 1:15pm Yikes! Surely, that's a fully loaded weight, no? And no, I'm not calling you Shirley!
Personally, I'm not a big fan of heavy guns with short grips. I just don't like the feel and balance. My Glock 30 (24 oz w/o mag) comes to mind. I suppose, given enough practice, I can learn to shoot anything; but I'd rather enjoy it while doing it.
The article says 29 oz empty weight.
Permalink Reply by VMole8 on January 21, 2012 at 2:37am I still don't believe it. What is it, tungsten?
More than one article has confirmed that weight. Except for the grip, this gun is a commander size, and with a steel subframe could easily weigh that much.
Permalink Reply by josh2415 on January 21, 2012 at 12:10pm I notice that the OL is 6.3", hardly a pocket pistol - time to step up the development of that 4.95" XR45-SG, Arne!

Permalink Reply by Harry Truman on January 21, 2012 at 3:26pm No offense...I'm sure it's a great country...but that big "MADE IN CROATIA" on the side of the frame is a bit of a turnoff.
Permalink Reply by BretShooter on January 21, 2012 at 6:09pm It sure beats Yugoslavia...You weren't a Tito fan, were you, Harry?
