Reportedly low felt recoil, as it should be when the gun weighs 29 ounces.

29 ounces in a short, poly framed pistol?  That seems awfully heavy.  I wonder how it compares with a Taurus 745?

I saw the Taurus listed at 20.8 oz.  While the article on the Springfield had listed 29 ounces twice, I am still a little suspect on the weight.  They may very well have a heavy steel sub-frame under the polymer.

Yikes!  Surely, that's a fully loaded weight, no?  And no, I'm not calling you Shirley!

Personally, I'm not a big fan of heavy guns with short grips.  I just don't like the feel and balance.  My Glock 30 (24 oz w/o mag) comes to mind.  I suppose, given enough practice, I can learn to shoot anything; but I'd rather enjoy it while doing it.

The article says 29 oz empty weight.

I still don't believe it.  What is it, tungsten?

More than one article has confirmed that weight.  Except for the grip, this gun is a commander size, and with a steel subframe could easily weigh that much.

I notice that the OL is 6.3", hardly a pocket pistol - time to step up the development of that 4.95" XR45-SG, Arne!

No offense...I'm sure it's a great country...but that big "MADE IN CROATIA" on the side of the frame is a bit of a turnoff.

It sure beats Yugoslavia...You weren't a Tito fan, were you, Harry?

j/k

A smidgen more grip...
