Nice pics!  Maybe not quite Oleg Volk...but very nice. Funny how some people are so slow to warm up to a design that looks different than what they're used to.  I think the XR is a uniquely gorgeous design.  Really, that Sig looks so ordinary next to it.

And I know form follows function, but when the two come together like this, you've really got something special.

Congrats on your new XR Jeff!  I would imagine that you've done some side-by-side shooting of these two similarly sized pistols at the range - give us you impressions, contrasting the two.

The sweep of the backstrap in the XR-9 is very elegant, almost sensual. The SIG grip angle and backstrap make it look like a carpenters square in comparison.

The backstrap was done that way purely to fit the web of the hand and use it as somewhat of a trampoline to soften recoil.  I don't like when back straps focus all the recoil into the bony part of your palm/wrist area.

The good thing about waiting is that maybe when I can finally divest myself of some cash for buying, I could pick between the 9 or the 45... oh, the possibilities

I like that about your design Arne. I have 6 Styer pistols for the same reason. The S&W M&P design is very similar too.
