For anyone who is worried about a 4-5 week wait for a Meco holster...well, today I got the two that I ordered ONE WEEK AGO! Beautiful quality and fit. This holster is very small, and it makes carrying a breeze. You can see the cant in the clip that Robert designed. He did this because he was concerned that, given the XR9's unusual dimensions, it might tend to fall out if carried with the grip too high above the belt. Hard to say. Right now it doesn't seem so because it's so new and very tight. Anyway, the short muzzle makes this pistol ideal for carrying in the waistband. The muzzle doesn't poke you in the thigh, even when you squat down or bend over. Nice! A tiny quibble with the clip: The way it attaches to the leather makes it just a tad difficult to get on and off. I have a Don Hume that attaches differently, and I like it a little better in this regard. But no big deal...I'm nitpicking. Overall, this is a gorgeous holster that works perfectly. Very secure and comfortable!

Just curious... This is an IWB holster pictured, right? So, I assume the outside of the holster as shown is actually the "inside" with the clip on the other side, right? If that is true, and I'm not try to be a smart butt here, I should think that sharkskin (aka: sandpaper?) would be rougher than a cob against the skin, or even if not against the skin, even against the shirt material.. I've used iwb's for a pretty long time, and FOR ME the softer the material on the inside facing the waist area, the better..
So, I assume in my ignorance I'm missing something about the desirability of having an iwb holster with this type harsh finish, help me please.
I'm not being critical of the overall qualities of the fine holsters made by Meco, I know they're top notch, just seems a sharkskin would be the material least best suited for such iwb duty.. (except for maybe "porcupine?)
Thanks!
Jesse

Very cool! Like the mag holder, too.
and I'm not try [sic] to be a smart butt here
Jesse:
Wow, for not even trying you did really well!
Just kidding! You did inspire me to try it on for fit and comfort, and while its empty of course, the skin feels no more unpleasant than any other leather holster I've ever worn IWB.
Hi Luke,
Thanks for the reply.... I wasn't looking for trouble, just input. Glad you find the surface of the holster to your liking.. Best Wishes,
Jesse

Jesse I have a couple of shark IWB holsters and although they look rough in pictures they are not rough on your skin. Shark is tough as nails but slick to the touch. I had a shark IWB R9 holster that I wore daily for 2 years and when I sold it it still looked like new. Good stuff !!!
Thanks! Don't ax, don't no? lol Best Wishes, Jesse
