iirc, their were supposed to be some reviews coming after the start of the new year. Any updates on when they will hit the newstands?
I believe there were three to four reviewers that had XR9-S pistols in their hands late last year. I was told by one of them that gun articles can take 8 months to hit presses. Ah, the speed of the internet...
This article brought the question to mind...
The XR9S would have smoked this comparison, but they are more "mass market" guns.
The text on that article was garbled for me.
He also messed up on the chart and put "Ruger SR9" instead of "..LC9""
Went to my local, friendly book and magazine seller this afternoon. Browsed through "2012 Gun Buyer's Annual", Issue #109. Under the "Handguns: Autoloaders" section on page 87, nestled amidst a herd of Berettas and Brownings, was the Boberg Arms "XR9-S XR9-L". The picture and description was of the XR9-S.
No internet based reviewers have it yet? Guys like Jeff Quinn at Gunblast.com, or The Firearm Blog?
Internet based reviewers would get the word out fast, then the magazine based reviews would follow for a more spread-out publicity impact. (If that's a good thing.)
Just thinking out loud.

There have been a couple of internet-based reviewers I've seen, but don't have the links handy.
I know there have been some XR-9S owners who have posted threads on a few forums, but I meant the internet bloggers and websites with big followings, like Jeff Quinn referenced above. If he did a review of the XR-9 it would generate a lot of interest.
From what I heard, it takes 8 months for these things to hit the presses. 3 gunwriters have had XR9-S pistols so far.
