I won't make any promises at this point, but we would like to offer an XR9-SC (Shorty Canadian), once we have gotten through the ITAR red tape. Our first batch of barrels has already been sized to the shorter length, so extended barrels would come in the next batch.

These would sell like no tomorrow in Canada.

I like the idea of calling it a "Shorty Canadian".

Will this version be available in America at the same time as the others? I'm interested in purchasing a shorty to use as a platform for a suppressor, so it needs to have a barrel long enough to be threaded.

I would support Justin in this request. Ideally a shorty, that by exchanging the barrel can keep a suppressor.

You may not have noticed this on our site: http://www.bobergarms.com/photo/albums/canadian-xr9sc

It will become a standard part - the XR9-SC

I noticed that, but I just wanted you to know that there are people in America that wanted those barrels. You stated that "once we have gotten through the ITAR red tape" you would sell the CS and that your first batch of barrels are already cut at the shorter length. When will the second batch go out that will have some longer barrels? Will they be available as separate parts or only in a complete gun, initially?

The plan was to have the longer barrels offered as separate parts so that anyone can either order them as extra, or order them with the gun.

Sounds good. It appears that the barrel recoils a certain distance along with the slide. What is the purpose of this and how much room would that leave in front of the frame for a barrel attachment when in full recoil on the shorty with a 4.2" barrel? Would a suppressor weighing anywhere from 4-10 oz prevent the gun from operating properly?

The chances are good - we will be offering the Shorty before the Long anyway.
