I emailed Mr. Boberg but haven't yet received a reply, does anyone know how long the current wait is to get the pistol if pre-ordered?

John: Perhaps you've heard from Arne by now, but in case you haven't your question is not an easy to answer.
The Buy to List ratio has ramped up considerably from last summer when Arne first started notifying pre-buy list registrants. Initially Boberg had a buy response rate of about 10% among those early on the pre-buy list. As I understand it, it's now at about a 40% buy response rate. Initially, Boberg was making about 80 guns per 8-10 weeks. Now I understand that he's at about 200 guns in 8-10 weeks. To complicate matters further, Boberg places no specific cap on the number of guns that can be purchased by a notified purchaser. The most I've heard being purchased on any one order is 4. Most people probably buy a max of two, with most of those, just one.
I went on the list in the third week of March of 2011. I am still awaiting "notification" of my option to purchase, though I now expect that imminently. From then it may be as much as 8-12 weeks for delivery.
I ran a search of your name as listed above and don't see you as having registered on it as yet, but the list is updated every two weeks or so, so you may be on it silently for the moment.
While 31% on the list are now purchasing, the average purchase rate per person is 1.6 guns. The list should update within a few hours.
Arne,
Like others, I've been watching the pre-order list. Just curious when you believe it might be updated. Thanks.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention - it is current now.
Arne,
I don't believe the update to the pre-order list has hit yet. My position is the same as it was 6 weeks ago.

I see what you are saying. I don't change the positions, per se. I do eliminate the listings that have orders in process - and I haven't even caught up with that yet. We have order notifications through March 2011 right now.

Cool, must mean mine is coming soon?!?
I cut it off in early March because I hit our limit for that batch.
John - I looked up and found a correspondence from you that was a friend request - sorry that I didn't see the embedded message.

Not sure if that was directed to me or someone else or no-one in particular. I was time/date stamped 3/24/2011, but I haven't seen an official notification email from you, but perhaps that's because of our earlier email communications. Should I contact you directly by email to clarify?
It is, I must say, a little confusing... I just want to know if I sign up and pay: how long to actually getting the gun? The gun is amazing but a year seems a long time to wait---makes me also wonder, if one were to have a problem, is there an extended wait for service?
Well, service hasn't been bad - we haven't gotten very many back and we usually turn them around in a week. Our lead time for making and selling guns is limited to our machining center capacity and our suppliers getting parts here in time. Any service is a separate operation.
