Permalink Reply by eric42 on December 29, 2011 at 4:58pm Has anyone tried the XR9-S with a Desantis Nemesis or Superfly? If so, which size?
I currently carry a P3AT in a Nemesis but I'm wondering if the larger holster needed for the thicker XR9-S would work well for front pocket carry.
Permalink Reply by Ed on January 1, 2012 at 8:55pm From looking at new products on the NRA online store, I learned of a product I had not seen before (hold the snickering, please) - the Flashbang Bra Holster. The light weight, flat lines and small form factor of the XR9-S should work well with this holster, if a good mold is done of the XR9-S in Kydex to promote retention:

Also of interest for the XR9-S are the lined small size slide holsters from the NRA Store:

One of the photographs appears to be a Kimber Solo in a black large slide holster, which would make drawing the weapon more difficult as only one finger could grasp the weapon.
More holsters:
Permalink Reply by Harry Truman on January 10, 2012 at 8:14pm I've been using a DeSantis Super Fly pocket holster for awhile now with my Taurus TCP 738 (same holster they sell for the Ruger LCP). Got my Shorty this afternoon and found it really doesn't work in the Super Fly. I can force it in all the way, but it's WAY too tight and can't be drawn without great two-handed effort. The good news is the DeSantis MagPacker fits the Boberg mag perfectly, so the spare mag can be kept at the ready in weak-side front pocket at the perfect angle for quick access. The MagPacker was a little tighter on the smaller 738 mag when I first got it...it seems to have loosened up with a year's use. But now it fits the Boberg mag perfectly!

Permalink Reply by unusedusername on January 11, 2012 at 9:32pm The "Minotaur Concealment" IWB magazine pouch from comp-tac sized for the Sig p239 also fits the Boberg magazine perfectly as well.
Now if only I could order a few spare mags :)

Since a little time has passed since my last questions on rear pocket carry, has anyone found a holster than can reasonably be carried (and concealed) in a rear pocket with the XR9-S?
Rear pocket carry is always my first choice, but just not sure the "bulldog" profile of the Boberg will make it practical for rear pocket carry.
My 2nd choice is of course IWB, and I'd recommend any ideas regarding those as well. I have used FIST Kydex holsters in several different compact 9MM pistols in the past for iwb carry and they are light and do a good job.
Thanks!
Jesse
Permalink Reply by Kirk F. Davis on April 6, 2012 at 10:31am Here's a couple of options. Robert did both of these. First is a front pocket, second is an IWB. Both are sharkskin. The front pocket is worn with jeans and shirt tucked in. Very comfortable and very discreet. I appendix carry the IWB and I almost forget I have it on.

Permalink Reply by Jesse W. Pomeroy on April 6, 2012 at 1:02pm Hi Kirk,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm too much of a runt to carry front pocket, so my preference is for back pocket. I carry a Seecamp LWS380 in a rear pocket daily, but it's small enough that it's easy to carry concealed, and a rear pocket holster conceals it perfectly.
I'm guessing I'll wind up carrying iwb, and that's ok, it's just that I live in S.E. Ga. and in the summers no one wears an outer garment, and wearing a shirt out of the pants is seldom done.
I'm sure after I actually get my Boberg I can get a better idea of what holster/s I can work with and what works best for me.
Thanks!
Jesse

Permalink Reply by Ed on April 7, 2012 at 1:55pm I also found a 7 x 4.5 x 1 belt pouch that has a front pocket for ID, credit cards, cash, business cards for your lawyer and bail bondsman, etc., and a rear pocket accessible via hook and loop fastener tab that will hold a weapon - the DeSantis Style N58 Gun Caddie:

This link was chosen because of the picture and the long list of weapons that will fit this pouch. This vendor usually provides free shipping for orders totaling more than $29.95, so add another item to save on the shipping. There are several other online vendors that sell this item for under $35 plus shipping.
Permalink Reply by Ed on April 9, 2012 at 5:53am Found another page with a list of holsters for mouse guns:
http://mouseguns.com/holsters.htm
The first one on the list is a manufacturer of holsters that look like a PDA belt pouch with foam inserts to assist in attaining a good fit:
The "Mighty Mite" model with internal dimensions of 5.25"L x 4.00"H x 1.00"W looks like it should hold a XR9-S. The site says to add 0.50" to the length and 0.75" to to the height and thickness for the external dimension.
Permalink Reply by Ed on April 9, 2012 at 11:18pm Still another belt pouch holster - The Tuff Products Tacllet Jr., available in black, blue, brown and red:

The Small size is 5.5" x 4" x 1". The Large size is 6.25" x 5" x 1". The pouch clips on the belt or uses an optional shoulder strap.
