That's great news!  I wonder what the penalty was if you did get caught carrying in a restaurant?

Would that be before or after you shot the person robbing or shooting up the place (Luby's in 91)?

The penalty here in MN for getting caught carrying handgun into an establishment with a sign reading "Guns are banned on these premises" is a $25 fine if you DON'T LEAVE.  And a cop has to show up to issue the citation.

Of course, if you are caught in your place of work........I'm glad I don't have that problem!

I believe it was a felony. To what degree I am not sure.

And that Is why I ignore the signs!... Most of them are not legally binding anyways 1) have a conspicuous sign posted at every entrance to the establishment that states, "[name of the company] bans guns in these premises." The sign(s) must be in black Arial typeface at lease 11/2 inches in height against a bright contrasting background that is at least 187 square inches in area (which translates to an 11x17 sign). The sign(s) must be readily visible and within four feet laterally of each entrance with the bottom of each sign at a height of four to six feet above the floor;.....Just don't carry in to a federal building they may not appreciate it very much...lol...
Any chance Ohio will recognize the CHL permits from Texas at some point in the future? [Concealed Handgun License]
My bad.  After a little research I found that Ohio is an open carry state, no real need to conceal carry.  They have concealed carry permits but are less stringent than Texas.

I prefer concealed carry so that I am the only one that knows I have a firearm... do you need a permit for open carry or is it similar to arizona's open carry laws. If you are 21 and not a felon you can open carry.

I open carry at the Boberg Arms factory, and a lot of people go in an out of there during the day.  It is probably no different than a guy running a gun shop open carrying, which I have seen quite a bit.  I am getting a little more confident about open carrying in public, making trips out to the parking lot loading and unloading my car.  I'm still hesitant to walk into stores open carrying - fortunately, my new Meco paddle holster makes it extremely easy to remove the rig.  Pics to come.

Ah, but the big question is... what are you carrying? LOL!

p.s. Just sold my Springfield XDM9 and Lasermax laser to gather funds for the XR9S. Getting closer...
