When I first heard about these amazing little pistols my first thought was 10mm I was surprised at how fast I received a response and not only that there just might be one in the works I can't wait

Anthony,

I truly believe that the 10mm is the ultimate self-defense cartridge.  It will go through hard obstacles and then take out the BG.  While the FBI thought it was too much to handle, they never shot it through rotating-barrel guns, which should make the recoil feel like a .40.  Beretta brags that their .40s feel like a 9mm through their rotating barrel guns.  My friends have concurred with this theory since they have all said that the XR9 has very soft recoil compared to other same-sized guns.  So the 10mm should work quite well in the future XR10!  I feel that the longer the barrel the better.  I found that for 9mm, once you go over 4.4", the percentage increase in power goes down significantly (even though it keeps rising gradually out to about 20").  I would have to find out what that optimum length would be for 10mm with some experimentation.  I would guess that 6-7" would be a good range.

Even 9mm is not a slouch.  484 fpe with the XR9S (Shorty) and 539 fpe with the XR9L (Long) can be pretty devastating to the target!

We will have brochures as soon as we get our production grips.  I will also hang on to your e-mail so I can notify you when the new BobergArms.com website goes live.  This site will have more info, videos, and the ability to pre-order guns.

I have a friend whose surname is "Livermore", but it is the short "I".

Thanks for you comments and your interest!

Yes I did say that. 9mm is a lot of cartridge in a gun as small as the XR9-S, and people that are recoil-shy will love it for that. But then there are those out there that just can't get enough, and feel that .454 Casull is quite manageable (I must confess that it takes me about 5 shots through my Freedom Arms .454 to get "comfortable" with it again), with that in mind, it is probably no big deal for some of us to shoot 10mm in a pocket gun, and it might even be considered by some to be "fun". While I would personally like to carry a 10mm pocket pistol, and will likely develop one some day, the market will probably be small just because of the beast that this thing will be (you think the FBI guys were nervous before?). Before the XR10 can be developed, however, Boberg Arms Corp. needs to get some momentum going with the 9mm platform.

Yes Tony the same thought cross my mind as well, but I'll be more then happy with the 9mm if that was the only option.
